One hit wonders

I saw a link on yahoo.com listing the top 20 one hit wonders of all time.
Instead of looking at the list for Right said Fred and Macarena I wondered why this is a list we have to see?
To me the thought process is see the song/band, remember fond times of the song and then say:
-What the hell happened to them?

Why do we need to ridicule artists like that. Sure, they weren't good enough to keep their success going, but the made a song that most people around the world still remember today.
I don't feel that the list is made out of respect for the artist, but rather to mock them, hence it's completely pointless.
I still remember a party in a smaller Swedish city when "Bailando" was the biggest hit around. If you made a list of fond memories connected to one hit songs, THEN I would read what you have to say.
Now, I think I'll look at the weather tomorrow instead.
