A man holding it together while his world is falling apart

We are led to believe that we should strive to have it all. Drink it all, buy it all, eat it all, fuck it all and most importantly own it all.
But what you don't realize is that you're running in a hamster wheel that just keeps spinning faster and faster.
After a while the wheel is riding you and you're turned into another mosaik piece stuck to the bottom of the wheel. You try to get up, the spinning motion keeps you down. After a few tries, you're turned into a man trying to keep his life together, while his whole world is falling apart.
Like everything else we had the chance to look at history and learn, but chose the path of blissful ignorance with the song "It never happens to me" echoing in the background while breaking rearview mirrors like they were chinese fortune cookies looking for the one holding the absolute truth.....or the truth that you want to hear.
Don't take away our dreams a voice in the masses calls out. It's when we dream that we are truely free to soar and explore our minds and boundaries.
You're right, reason answers. You must dream to be free, but be wary of where the dreams may take you.
The moccafrappomaccio-chino drenched streets that turn our pure leafshaded path into the oilspill that is the nightmare. Because those streets are treacherous and slippery for most and easily turn into treadmills for those who are not careful. So go ahead and dream, but don't bring your fool with you to that land, because he will lead you astray.

So come friends, seek out what once was and is no more but only once more.....if you want it. Leave the shards of shattered rearview mirrors that cut your feet and let the shaddows of the branches from the tree embrace you. Because it's not too late for once more, even if it only lasts for a little while.
